We are excited to announce that we will be working in partnership with Edinburgh Book Festival for Scotland’s Year of Stories 2022 to run a series of Creative Writing Workshops every Monday evening in March from 7pm-9pm.
These workshops will be led by BSL Author Bea Webster, Bea is a deaf Scottish-Thai actor, writer and theatre-maker who graduated with a BA Performance in British Sign Language and English from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Bea wrote, performed and directed House of Ladies for RCS’s On The Verge festival at the Citizens Theatre. She co-wrote and devised Everything Will Be Perfect. Bea communicates in both BSL and English.
An interpreter will be provided for these sessions. These are open to both D/deaf and Blind centre users who would love to try their hand at storytelling. We truly believe everyone has a story to tell, whether that is written word, audio, video, or photographs, come and have your say!
