The Sensory Garden is located next to the Centre and provides a great place to relax and grab a moment of peace or simply enjoy the delightful flowers.
With benches, tables, chairs and a picnic bench, it is also a great spot for some alfresco dining with food and drink from our nearby cafe.
You can even say hello to our famous Tin Man while you are in the Sensory Garden, now an official Pokestop for Pokemon Go players!
As you can understand, maintaining a garden all year round isn’t easy and we rely heavily on the help of our volunteers to ensure the Sensory Garden is a nice place to visit. If you would be interested in helping out, please see our volunteering page here.
Following a lengthy refurbishment, our Sensory Garden is once again open for business.
We have put down new safe flooring, repaired and remodelled the fountain and installed some great new musical instruments. We recently had a new handcrafted bench installed and thanks to artist Tom Allan a wonderful new sculpture is now in residence.
As always we are looking for help and expertise to help us maintain the garden and assist with the rebuilding. Read more about volunteering here. You can also be a massive help by being one of our fundraisers. Loads of easy ways to help listed here.
The Sensory Garden can also be used as part of external events by negotiation. If you would be interested in hiring any of our facilities, please get in touch.
