Firstly a reminder that the Sensory Room is now back open to the public! Cost is £5 regardless of area. We are limited to only a few sessions a day so please get in touch early to avoid disappointment. The voices off café has returned for their weekly BSL practice sessions on Mondays from 6.30pm-7.30pm. This group is an informal, chatty style BSL group led by Stephen Joyce. If you are interested in joining the class please get in touch with Allan Simpson at allan.simpson@falkirk.gov.uk.


Our IT Classes with tutor Tom Paterson have returned for their weekly sessions too. If you’d like to learn more about computing, particularly accessibility relating to computing or tablets then this is the class for you! Due to social distancing classes are limited, if you are interested in coming along get in touch and we will assign a space. Classes take place on Tuesday’s 1pm-3pm and 3pm-5pm, and Thursday and Friday both 1pm-3pm.


On Wednesday our art group returns, we are now taking up residence in the Tech Hub from 1pm-3pm. Trying out a variety of arts and crafts, we have something for everyone! This group is led by tutor Val Martin and costs £5.
Also on Wednesday, Scottish Slimmers are delighted to be making their return to the centre from 5.30-7.30pm every week! Get in touch with group leader Sandra on 07803172441.


The Braille class returns on Thursday under Christine Moroney’s tutelage, this is a college class for learning how to read and write braille. Get in touch for more information. Class takes place weekly from 10am-12pm, term time.


On Friday The Braveheart Association will be leaving for their weekly walk at 11.30am. Please note that due to a private FVSC event they will be meeting outside the café instead of in the Sensory Garden. This group takes a leisurely walk around the local area that lasts 45-60 minutes, and is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.


The Youth Group will not be taking place this Friday. We will be back on the 10th for a game night, and off to Broomlee on the 11th September! Our Youth group is open to 10-14 year olds with sensory loss, we do a variety of different activities. Why not bring along a friend or sibling!
