Monday 26th we have our next Talk and Sign BSL practice session. This will take place on zoom from 7pm to 8pm. These sessions are open to anyone who would like to brush up on the BSL skills, this is not a structured course but fun nonetheless! For this session we will be chatting about ‘family’ and the different signs we know for this topic.

Tuesday 27th April we have our long awaited Tinnitus Peer Support group at 12pm! This group is open to anyone who has tinnitus. For the first session we will be having a wee chat about our experiences with tinnitus and what methods we currently use to try and cope with it. We will be working with the British Tinnitus Association and also NHS Forth Valley Audiology, so if there are any questions you may have in relation to tinnitus these can be raised with the group as well.

Friday is a very busy day indeed at the centre! Firstly we are delighted to say that our café will be open for business as of 30th April 2021 (please note Monday 3rd May is a public holiday so the centre and café will both be closed), Carol is raring to go and looking forward to seeing you all back!

The Braveheart association walk that leaves from the centre at 11.30am will be meeting in the sensory garden, the walk is a leisurely 45-60 minute stroll around the local area. There is now no need to have been previously signed up with the Braveheart Group to walk with them. Why not pop along for a leisurely walk and then have some lunch in our café?
Also on Friday we have our monthly music quiz at 2pm, this is in collaboration with RNIB and is on Teams with phone in also available. If you’d like to test your musical mettle then this is the quiz for you!

And lastly, but certainly not least, we are delighted to be able to have our Youth Group back in person starting from Friday 30th April from 7pm-8pm! We have a lot of fun plans in place with Falkirk Community Learning and Development that we’d love to get involved in. This will be a fun session to register interest and pitch some ideas for the coming months!

If you would like to join any of our groups or would like more information please contact Linsey on linseystocks@forthvalleysensorycentre.org.

Have a good week!
