Forth Valley Sensory Centre currently has two vacancies available. If you are passionate about improving the lives of people with disabilities, especially sensory loss, then one of these could be for you.
The first vacancy is for a new Employability Project and See Hear Coordinator. This is a part time role covering 28 hours or 4 days per week and is supported by Falkirk See Hear Partnership, Agnes Hunter Trust and Chance to Succeed.
The post holder will support job seekers with Sensory Loss (blind, partially sighted, deaf and hard of hearing) to improve their chances of finding employment and training, and support employers to better understand how they can improve equality in the workplace. The post holder will also be responsible for co-ordinating the See Hear network in Falkirk which brings together representatives from Partner organisations who support people with Sensory Loss to identify local priorities and to promote creative solutions.

Our second role is a full time position and is funded by the Energy Redress Scheme. This is to build on our recently finished Climate Challenge Fund ‘Making Sense of Energy Saving’ Project which delivered some fantastic results locally.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and delivery of workshops, events and climate conversation at the Centre and across Forth Valley ensuring that all activities are appropriate for the intended attendees (hearing/sight loss) as well as the wider community. You will work closely with Centre partners (i.e. RNID, RNIB, Deaf Scotland etc), third sector organisations and companies where necessary to facilitate in the provision of regular events. Be responsible for Administration duties relating to the project and reporting to the Energy Redress Fund as needed. This includes gathering feedback from participants, including testimonials as well as updating our website/social media with activities.
