Reminder that our Cafe is open to the public every weekday from 9am. Why not pop in for some of our delicious soup made by cook David Black?
Our Sensory Garden is also open every weekday from 9-5 for all to enjoy, it’s looking lovely and colourful with our Yarn Bombing courtesy of our Knit and Natter group!
On Wednesday we have our Art Group meeting for a socially distanced session from 1.15pm-3.15pm. This group is currently limited due to restrictions but we will be running sessions across July for new participants looking to join the group when we are able to open it up to more people hopefully in August. The group costs £5 for materials and is led by art tutor Val Martin.
Friday, always our busiest day, first sees the The Braveheart Association leave for its weekly walk from the Sensory Garden at 11.30am. This group is open to all and normally lasts 45-60 minutes for a leisurely walk around the local area.
The monthly music quiz with RNIB Scotland will be on Teams at 2pm-3pm, phone in is also available for this group. Why not come along and test your musical mettle?
Our Youth Group will be meeting at the centre for their last evening session for the summer. This group meets from 7pm-8.30pm and is open to 12-18 year olds with a sensory impairment. We have been working with Falkirk – Community Learning & Development on a variety of new projects which we will be continuing over the Summer on Thursdays and Friday’s from 11-2, register interest with Linsey at linseystocks @forthvalleysensorycentre.org
And lastly but certainly not least, our FVSC Talk and Sign group will be meeting for a showing of ‘Sound of Metal’ at Bo’ness hippodrome on Saturday at 7.30pm. This is being done safely and socially distanced.
As always if you would like to join any of our groups or would like more information please get in touch with Linsey at linseystocks@forthvalleysensorycentre.org.
