On Monday we are welcoming back our Knit and Natter group for a socially distanced session in our café from 1pm-3pm. This group is open to anyone, and if you’d rather natter than knit of crochet you are very welcome too!
Tuesday our Book Group will be meeting for their next online session from 10am-11am on Zoom. We will be chatting about ‘The Girl with the Amber Comb’ by Linda Finlay before we move onto our next book ‘The Flat Share’ by Beth O’Leary. We source our books from RNIB Talking Books and can send out memory sticks if required. Phone in is available for this group. Keep an eye out on our social media for our groups thoughts on the book too!
On Friday The Braveheart Association will have their weekly walk setting off from the Sensory Garden at 11.30am, this is a leisurely walk that lasts 45-60 minutes around the local area. This group is open to all. Sighted guidance can be provided if required.
If you like a Walking Challenge and would like to join a step count, we are looking to build a team for RNIB Connect – Scotland’s challenge. The closing date for June’s group is the 26th May so if you’d like to count your steps towards our team get in touch!
Also on Friday our Youth Group will be meeting again in our Sensory Garden for their weekly session from 7pm-8.30pm. This group is open to 12-18 year olds with sensory loss. We are currently working with Falkirk – Community Learning & Development on a variety of different projects, contact Linsey for more information.
As always, if you would like to join any of these groups or would like more information on any of the groups that we offer please contact Linsey at linseystocks@forthvalleysensorycentre.org.
