What’s On W/C 10th April

A wee reminder that the Centre will be closed on Monday, we will be back bright and early on Tuesday Morning, so why not pop into Cafe Tiki for a warming mug of tea or a bacon roll.

On Tuesday our Stirling Group will be meeting at the Bellfield Centre from 11am-1pm. The group will be having a visit from our Sight Loss Ambassador, Laura, who will be telling them a bit about her role at the centre and what kinds of things she can help them with. The Stirling VI Group meet on the second Tuesday monthly at the Bellfield Centre. Group costs £2 for tea, coffee and biscuits. Transport is available if required.

IT Classes are on Tuesday from 1pm-3pm, and 3pm-5pm, and Friday 1pm-3pm (there will be no class on Thursday due to College holidays). These classes are for anyone who might want to learn more about computing, Tom can help with any IT queries, including accessibility around tablets and phones. Classes cost £5 per session.

On Tuesday our BSL Group are headed to Hamilton, the bus leaves the centre at 10.15am, and will be headed back from the centre around 1pm. Everything is set for the group, but if any further information is required, please get in touch.

The History Group will be meeting from 11am-12pm, they will be having a talk from Sean Szmalc from Titanic Honour and Glory on the topic of WW1. This should be a fun and interactive session with tactile elements as well. The interpreter booked for the session is Jacquie Harvey.

Wednesday our BSL Group will meet at their usual time from 12.30pm-2.30pm. This group is for deaf BSL speakers, and they love a bit of Bingo as well as a good old blether! Bingo costs £5 but you are welcome to come along just to chat and meet other BSL speakers.

Slimming World also meet on Wednesday from 5pm-7pm, drop in is available. For more information on this group please contact Sandra on 07803 172441.

The FVSC Volunteer led Voices off class will meet from 11am-12.30pm. This group is open to anyone who would like to learn or practice British Sign Language. They will now be meeting weekly. There is no fee for this group.

The braveheart group will be leaving for the usual walk from the sensory garden at 11.30am-12.30pm. This is a leisurely walk around the local area lasting approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Guides are available.

Our Youth Group will be having a gaming session this week. They will be meeting from 6pm-7.15pm and will have Fraser from Triple Tap Tech bringing along Fortnight and Fifa 23! We also have Nintendo Switches, VR headsets, and tablets for games. If you are D/deaf or have sight loss or are the friend or family of someone with D/deafness or sight loss then this is the group for you! New participants welcome.

The Deaf Club meets on Friday for their usual session from 7pm-10pm.
