Pull up a chair by the hearth at the Sensory Arms, grab a beverage and sharpen those pencils (or recording devices) for our first ever virtual quiz on Friday, 2nd April, 7:30-8:30pm.
Hosted by Centre User and Board Member Laura, along with her husband Joe, the quiz is the brainchild of our Centre User Fundraising Group who are always looking for imaginative ways to help raise money for the Centre.
The quiz costs just £5 per player to enter and there will be prizes, courtesy of Inner Wheel Falkirk Club who generously donated funds to cover the cost. There will be eight rounds, each with five questions, including a special Easter round. Themed hats, clothing, mascots or chocolate are all welcome but not obligatory!
We are hoping this will be a really fun event with lots of friendly competition and conversation. The night will be as accessible as possible. We will have a BSL interpreter on the night and Laura herself is blind and has made sure that the night will be accessible to any blind or partially sighted people. There will be lots of different areas of expertise so everyone should be able to do well in at least one round!
Centre Fundraising Manager Martin Allen said:
“This is our second virtual fundraising event following on from the delightful Afternoon Tea earlier in March. We have shown that we can hold online events like this and most importantly, people have fun doing them!
“Everyone is welcome, so if you are looking for something to do on a Friday night with friends and want to help out a local charity sign up now!”
To join, simply make a £5 donation to our Givey Page, you can find all the details here. Please note there will be an additional charge as this is a donation platform but the Centre receives the whole £5.
Once you have paid, email your confirmation to our sensory@forthvalleysensorycentre.org address and we will make sure you get the Zoom link and phone numbers well in advance.
