What matters most to you and keeps you well? It might be your weekly walking group, or perhaps a nice meal at the end of the day. It might be spending time with your family or seeing old school friends once in a while. Or perhaps having a warm, secure home within a supportive community.

Your health and wellbeing is more than just your NHS appointments, medicine prescriptions or physical fitness. Your health and wellbeing is your state of mind, your security and environment, your friends and your family.

Our workshops will look at how public services could use non-health information to provide better health and care services. Just as your GP will know when you become a parent, would it be helpful if they knew you suddenly became unemployed? Or perhaps whether you were at risk of developing asthma because of the high pollution in your area?

Sharing information across organisations could potentially improve your wellbeing or help you get a better service. But it could also pose risks.

Therefore, it is important to hear your thoughts on how you feel about sharing your data across organisations. Should this happen? If so, how? Or if not, why? And how should you be involved in the way data about you is collected and shared?

Getting involved

We are hosting two interactive workshops using Zoom. Due to the online nature of these events, we will keep group numbers small. We are therefore offering two sessions:

· 18 February, 14:00 – 16:30

· 19 February, 10:00 – 12:30

The workshops will be supported by BSL interpreters and electronic note takers. If you have any other accessibility needs, please let us know in advance.

The workshop findings will inform the Scottish Government’s approaches to data sharing and service design. Participants will receive a voucher of £50 as a thank you for their contribution to the project.
