The Centre has received a huge donation of toys and children’s items from Morrisons in Falkirk to help out our younger visitors.
The store, based at Brockville, has provided toys and games for all ages as well as colouring books, crayons and cards.
The donation will be shared with other charities which use the Centre, including National Deaf Children’s Society Forth Valley and PLUS who provide our Play and Chat group for parents with a child who has a sensory condition.
Fundraising coordinator Lynne Frail said:
“When Morrisons told us they had some end of line children’s items they wanted to donate we expected a few wee items so to receive a bounty like this is amazing! It is great that we have been able to share this with other local children’s charities too. The items will make gifts and prizes and provide a real boost to the children’s services in the Centre.”
Iain Paylor, Merchandising Manager, Morrisons Falkirk said:
“We are delighted to donate these items to the Sensory Centre. It is a great charity which helps so many people across Forth Valley. Morrisons always looks to play an important role in our local communities and we are pleased to see these toys being put to a good use.”
The Centre is always grateful to receive donations from corporate organisations. Gifts in kind will always find a home, either with one of our groups, as a donation to another charity or as prizes in competitions or fundraising events.
