Howgate Accessible Shopping Award

We’ve been given the chance to help out with a Accessible Shopping Award for stores in The Howgate Shopping Centre, Falkirk.

What we need now are mystery shoppers on behalf of the Sensory Centre to run a critical eye over the stores. Can you help?

This isn’t about being all super nice and giving everyone a good score, indeed, they’d like it to be a catalyst to get some places up to scratch on accessibility so if you have friends, family or just acquaintances that use The Howgate and understand sensory loss and the needs of people who can’t see or hear too well, then please get them to think about filling in the form which you can access at the link below or pick up from our reception desk.

They don’t actually need to make a purchase, but if people are wandering through or having a browse or just have 10 minutes to spare in the town centre, participation would be much appreciated. Let’s help make Accessible Shopping in Falkirk a reality.

We can do large print or Braille questionnaires as needed. The timing is tight though – The Howgate would like to confirm the winner by 8th May so they can get the name inscribed on the trophy so get your responses into our reception desk quickly.

If we let them know when volunteers/shoppers are coming in The Howgate will organise refreshments at the cafes so there is wee benefit in there too! If you can help, do get in touch! Happy shopping!
