Just a wee reminder that due to the Bank Holiday, the Centre will be closed on Monday 7th May, reopening on Tuesday 8th May at 8:45am.
We have lots of great things coming up for the summer though so now is a great time to get involved with the Centre.
Our Wednesday Group enjoyed a trip to the Walled Garden in Dollar Park last week, a great place to visit for all ages. The Wednesday Group meets on the first Wednesday of each month and is open to anyone with sight or hearing loss. Regular talks, trips and events take place and the cost is just a tiny £1.50! New members very welcome.
The next meeting of our BSL Voices Off Café will be 23rd May, 11am. Come along and learn some BSL from actual BSL users! The class is free although there is a suggested donation of 50p for a tea or coffee.
Our Talk and Sign Group for D/deaf people and those with hearing loss of all ages are going to The Kelpies on 21st May. Again, new members for this group are always welcome so if you have any form of hearing loss and want to make new friends or try out some new things, with BSL support, then come along, third Monday of every month, 7pm -9pm.
Finally we were delighted to welcome Peter from NHS Forth Valley’s Nutrition Team who was helping Lee and Peter, two of our volunteers who have learning difficulties, with making a chicken stir fry and meatballs for the Bank Holiday weekend. We are hoping to offer this course as a regular feature here at the Centre in the near future with our own cook, David.
You can always find out more about us via our social media pages too. Just search @FVSensoryCentre on Twitter or ‘Forth Valley Sensory Centre’ on Facebook.

Have a good holiday!
