We’ve reached the half way point in our 2017 Charity Shop shopping extravaganza and there are some real bargains and some lovely stories to be told.
Yesterday we had a wee boy in who was absolutely delighted with his new (pre-loved) toy castle and a chap so determined to win a face scrub on the Tombola he quite literally won nearly everything else trying to get it! He didn’t mind though, he was helping the charity.
It’s really lovely when people haggle upwards too! We’re always looking for change and it was fantastic to have people say “just call it a fiver” for a couple of small items. Thank you so much.
There are some real bargains around too. We had a Issey Miyake bag handed in so it pays off to have a good look through the rails of clothes. There are a number of items with the original sales tags on, never been worn.
Finally, huge thanks to our volunteers who we couldn’t manage without. Margaret from Asda who normally assists in our Cafe was along on Wednesday and was a big help. Many thanks to her and all our other volunteers, donors etc!

Again, we couldn’t do it without our volunteers and we always have plenty on hand to help you find that must have item.
Come down today and make sure we clear the place out. Loads of things on offer! We’ve been selling all week and the place still looks packed. Amazing how much stuff we had!
