Would you like to help bring about real change and benefits for sensory impaired people in Forth Valley? Well join our new fundraising committee at the Centre.
The group will look at all aspects of fundraising from potential targets to specific projects or new groups which need additional funds.
Fundraising Co-ordinator, Lynne Frail said:
“Sadly it is a fact that many organisations like ours rely heavily on donations and fundraising in order to put on the services the community needs. This is your chance to not only be involved with Centre activities but make a real difference to what we do.
“The fundraising committee will help shape a number of aspects of the services we offer. Not only will the fundraising committee look at where we can get funds and how, but also what sort of things we should be raising money for.
“We have lots of new groups and classes starting this year, with a big focus on wellebing. We’ve partnered with a number of organisations to deliver accessible activities for blind and partially sighted people and deaf and hearing impaired people as well as children and carers. We are always looking out for new ideas though and we want this group to help steer us in new directions so that we can put on activites that people really want.”
A first meeting for interested parties will be held on January 23rd 12 – 1:30pm. Light refreshments will be served. Please contact Lynne (lynnefrail@forthvalleysensorycentre.org) if you would like to take part.
