Today our knit and natter group are back in the halls from 1pm-3pm. If you like to knit, crochet, or even just come along for a blether, then this is the group for you! Open to all, no group cost, refreshments can be purchased from the cafe.


Also this evening, Voices Off will be back from 6.30pm-7.30pm for another session of conversational BSL. This is not a qualification but a chance to learn some basic BSL or brush up on your skills. If interested in learning more about this group or to register your interest please contact Allan Simpson at allan.simpson@falkirk.gov.uk.


On Tuesday our Tinnitus Peer Support Group will be back in the centre from 12pm-1pm. This is a group that gives people with Tinnitus (often described as a ringing or whooshing sound in the ears) a chance to talk about their tinnitus and different ways to deal with it. Caroline Ralph from Forth Valley NHS Audiology will be along as well.


The IT Classes will be back with Tom Paterson on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday this week, from 1pm-3pm, and an additional 3pm-5pm slot on Tuesdays. Please note that numbers are limited for these classes so please contact Linsey for availability. These classes aim to boost confidence in using PC’s and Tablets and their accessibility features. Classes cost £5.


Sara has her Energy Redress Drop-in session on Wednesday from 10am-1pm, this is open to anyone who would like to learn more about climate challenge and what this means, or if you’d like advice on ways you can save energy or help with your bills. Sara is here to help! No need to make an appointment but feel free to get in touch with Sara for more information at saraburns@forthvalleysensorycentre.org.


The BSL OAP group will also be meeting for their weekly session on Wednesday from 12.30pm-2.30pm.
Slimming World will also be back on Wednesday, running from 5pm-7pm. Please contact your local Slimming World rep for more information.


The Braveheart Association will be meeting for their weekly walk from the Sensory Garden at 11.30am. This is a leisurely walk around the local area that lasts 40-60 minutes and is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
Also on Friday evening the Deaf Club will be meeting in the halls from 7pm-10pm.


A brand new group is starting this week! At the back of our Youth Group (for 10-14 year olds)which will be on at the new time of 6pm-7.15pm, our brand new Gaming Group (for 15-18 year olds) is starting on Friday from 7.30pm-9pm, TripleTapTech will be coming along to talk to us about all things accessibility and maybe even have us try out some games! We have lots of fun new tech for both these groups including Nintendo Switches, Oculus VR Headsets, and tablets!
