New Year is a great time for making changes and helping others to do the same. Whether you are an organisation, company or individual and whether you want to just donate time, raise money or dedicate a charity of the year, we would love to hear from you!
Forth Valley Sensory Centre is a place where people with any form of sensory impairment, visual or hearing, as well as their friends and family can come for support, social activities and advice.
We have been serving the communities of Forth Valley for over a decade and work in partnership with NHS Forth Valley, Falkirk Council, Stirling Council, RNIB Scotland, Action on Hearing Loss and Scottish War Blinded to provide a vital service to this important, and growing group of people.
Our services mean a lot to those who use them. You can read some of our Centre User stories on our website https://www.forthvalleysensorycentre.org/your-centre/centre-stories/
In the past year our Centre Users have danced, run marathons and given inspirational speeches in any number of locations. But we can’t exist without funding or volunteers.
We need to secure around £4000 per month in additional funding to put on all our groups and activities. We also need an army of volunteers from people helping out in the garden to minibus drivers.
Anything you can do in the New Year, be it donate raffle prizes, spend time in our Social Enterprise Café or raise funds through sponsorship, is all appreciated.
Individual fundraisers can contact Lynne Frail, our fundraising coordinator. In return we can promise:
– As much support and publicity as possible to help you achieve your aims
– Dedicated contact within the Centre to help with any challenges
– Thank you events to acknowledge your help
For companies and organisations there are even more choices:
• Why not make us your charity of the year
• Or even month?
• We’ll take a week if needed! The truth is you can give as much or as little as you like
• We have lots of events and activities which staff can volunteer for
• There are lots of sponsorship opportunities available from our garden to our minibus
• Gifts for raffles and other events or simply providing much needed skills free of charge
• Payroll giving where supported
In return we offer:
– CSR opportunities that will bring staff together boosting morale and productivity
– Full volunteer training where needed
– Promotional opportunities within our social media and web pages
– Contact with the local press where appropriate
– Use of our logo as part of ongoing CSR
– Logo/branding/naming possibilities within our busy Centre
If you are interested in working with us in the New Year, or in any of the above opportunities, please contact Martin Allen, Partnership Manager on 01324 590 888 or follow us on Facebook and Twitter @FVSensoryCentre
