megaphone, smartphone, lightbulb and magnifier to cover different media

On Monday we have our Knit and Natter group meeting from 1pm-3pm in our cafe for a socially distanced session. If you like knitting, crochet, or would just like to come along for a blether, all are welcome.

Wednesday sees the return of our History Group, this will be on Zoom from 11am-12pm. We will be having another talk from Titanic Honour and Glory with a tale of true love on the Titanic! We have interpreter booked and phone in is available.

Perhaps our most exciting event this week, we have our Welcome Back Garden Party on Thursday 12th August from 12.30pm-3pm. We’ll have information booths on groups, volunteering, energy redress and employability as well as a tour of new areas of the centre, wing chun with David Black and a chance to win some goodies in a raffle and tombola! Tickets cost £2 for food and drink. There’s still time to come along, please contact Rowan at rowanferguson@forthvalleysensorycentre.org or phone 01324 590888 if you’re interested in coming along.

On Friday our Youth Group will be taking a break this week, but never fear, we will be back on the 20th August for a seed planting workshop with Forth Environment Link from 7pm-7.30pm. The Youth Group is open to 11-14 year olds and we have a range of different activities in store. Group meets weekly.

The Braveheart Association will be leaving for their weekly walk from the Sensory Garden at 11.30am. This is a leisurely walk around the local area that lasts around 45-60 minutes and is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

If you would like more information on our groups please contact Linsey at linseystocks@forthvalleysensorycentre.org.

Have a great week!
