A wee reminder that we will be closed on Monday 8th May for the public holiday. We will return 9am on Tuesday 9th May. We also still have tickets available for our Afternoon Tea on 26th May. Tickets cost £18 which includes a doggy bag and a flash quiz as well! Contact Rowan if interested at sensory@forthvalleysensorycentre.org or phone 01324 590888.

On Tuesday our Stirling Group will meet at the Bellfield Centre at Livilands from 11am-1pm. The Argyll and Sutherland Highland Regimental Museum will be bringing down WWII handling boxes! Tea/Coffee and biscuits cost £2, and transport can be provided for £5. This group meets on the third Tuesday each month.

IT Classes are on as usual on Tuesday from 1pm-3pm, and 3pm-5pm, Thursday 1pm-3pm (this is a college class with no spaces at present), and Friday 1pm-3pm. These classes are for anyone who might want to learn more about computing, Tom can help with any IT queries, including accessibility around tablets and phones. Classes cost £5 per session.

On Wednesday the history group will meet from 11am-12pm. Sean from Titanic Honour and Glory will be visiting us to give us a talk on WWII as well as bring across some artefacts. This group is free and open to all. An interpreter is provided.

Wednesday our BSL group will meet at their usual time from 12.30pm-2.30pm. This group is for deaf BSL speakers, and they love a bit of Bingo as well as a good old blether! Bingo costs £5, but it’s free to come along for a blether no matter your age!

Slimming World also meet on Wednesday from 5pm-7pm, drop in is available. For more information on this group please contact Sandra on 07803 172441.

On Thursday the Braille Class will meet at their usual time from 10.30am-12.30pm. This is a college class tutored by Christine Moroney. If you are interested in learning Braille and would like to be considered for next year’s college class please get in touch.

The FVSC Volunteer led Voices off class will meet from 11am-12.30pm. This group is open to anyone who would like to learn or practice British Sign Language. They will now be meeting weekly. There is no fee for this group.

The braveheart group will be leaving for the usual walk from the sensory garden at 11.30am-12.30pm. This is a leisurely walk around the local area lasting approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Guides are available.

Youth Group will take a break this week and return on 19th May.

The Deaf Club meets on Friday for their usual session from 7pm-10pm.
