Please note that Monday is a Public Holiday and the Sensory Centre and Café Tiki will be closed. We will be back bright and early (at 9am) on Tuesday!

Also on Tuesday our Stirling VI Social group will be having their first meeting in a year and a half! We are going to head to Dobbies for a cup of tea and a catch up. The Stirling outreach group is open to anyone in the Stirling Area with a visual impairment, we run this group on the second Tuesday of the month from 11am-1pm and we do a variety of different activities.

On Wednesday the Art Group will be back in for a session with Val Martin from 1pm-3pm, the group is open to all and costs £5 to cover materials. If you’d like to try your hand at different art styles then this is the group for you. As this is a primarily visually impaired group our works are tactile and adapted to suit.

Also on Wednesday, the BSL OAP group will be meeting for their weekly session in the halls from 12.30pm-2.30pm.

Sara has her Energy Redress Drop-in session on Wednesday from 10am-1pm, this is open to anyone who would like to learn more about climate challenge and what this means, or if you’d like advice on ways you can save energy or help with your bills. Sara is here to help! No need to make an appointment but feel free to get in touch with Sara for more information at saraburns@forthvalleysensorycentre.org.

Scottish Slimmers will also be back on Wednesday, running from 5pm-7pm. Please contact your local Scottish Slimmers rep for more information.

The IT Classes will be back with Tom Paterson on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday this week, from 1pm-3pm, and an additional 3pm-5pm slot on Tuesdays. Please note that numbers are limited for these classes so please contact Linsey for availability. These classes aim to boost confidence in using PC’s and Tablets and their accessibility features. Classes cost £5.

Friday sees our usual weekly activities of Braveheart walk leaving the centre at 11.30am for their walk around the local area. The youth group will be meeting from 7pm-8.30pm, where we’ll be playing games once again. And lastly, but certainly not least, the Deaf Club will be meeting from 7pm-10pm on Friday too.
