A guide to what’s on for the month of November 2023. We have a range of activities available!

Week Beginning 6th Nov

Monday:

Choir (Sensory Singers), 10.30am-12pm. Led by Catriona Lang. £5 for session. Large print and Braille lyrics can be provided if required. Open to new members.

Knit and Natter, 1pm-3pm. Free, refreshments can be purchased from the cafe. £5 for transport if required. Open to new members.

Lip-Reading Class, 4pm-6pm. Free. Led by Jill Bradshaw.

Voices Off (British Sign Language), 6.30pm-7.30pm. With Stephen Joyce. Free. Open to all. Suitable for beginners.

Tuesday:

Wee County Hub Information stand, 10am-3pm. Speirs Centre. Pop down for a chat, come and get to know us!

IT Class, 1pm-3pm & 3pm-5pm. Led by Tom Paterson. £5.

Wednesday:

History Group, 10.30am-12pm. National Museums Scotland on the topic of Romans (with handling box). Free. Open to all. Interpreter provided.

BSL Group, 12.30pm-2.30pm. Free to come and chat, £5 for Bingo. Open to BSL speakers.

Slimming World, 5pm-9pm. Open to all.

Voices Off (British Sign Language), 6.30pm-7.30pm. With Stephen Joyce. At Alloa Elim Church (Cafe space). Free. Open to all. Suitable for beginners.

Lip-Reading, online session, 7pm-9pm. Led by Jill Bradshaw. Free.

Thursday:

Braille Class, 10.30am-12.30pm. College Class. Led by Christine Moroney. Waiting list for interest.

Voices Off (British Sign Language), 11am-12.30pm. Led by Kara Milne. Free. Open to all. Suitable for beginners.

IT Class, 1pm-3pm. College Class. No new students at present. Led by Tom Paterson.

Friday:

Braveheart Walk, leaves the centre at 11.30am. Sighted Guides can be provided.

IT Class, 1pm-3pm. £5. Led by Tom Paterson.

Youth Group (8-12), 6pm-7.15pm. Free. This week we will be making confectionaries (pretzels and cake pops) for the Winter Fayre (and some to take home of course!)

Lip-reading peer support, 11am-1pm. Free.

Lip-reading Class, 4pm-6pm. Free. Led by Jill Bradshaw.

Voices Off (British Sign Language), 6.30pm-7.30pm. Free. Led by Stephen Joyce. Suitable for beginners. Open to all.

Talk and Sign, 7pm-9pm. £2. Making bath bombs (group meeting one week earlier than usual).

Tuesday:

Stirling Group, 11am-1pm. £2 for tea/coffee/biscuits. Bellfield Centre (Stirling Hospital). Transport can be provided, £5 for journey.

IT Class, 1pm-3pm & 3pm-5pm. £5. Led by Tom Paterson & supported by volunteers. New interest welcome.

Wednesday:
