Our knit and natter group will be meeting for an in-person socially distanced session in the cafe on Monday from 1pm-3pm, this group is open to all whether you knit, crochet, or would rather have a blether!

Tuesday sees our Book Group have their next meeting where we will be discussing The Flat Share by Beth O’Leary at 10am online on Zoom. This group meets the third Tuesday of every month, we source our books from RNIB talking books which can be sent out on memory stick format if required. The group will be taking a break in July and coming back in August to discuss ‘Shuggie Bain’.

As usual the Braveheart Association will be having their weekly walk from the Centre on Friday, leaving the centre from the Sensory Garden at 11.30am. This is a leisurely walk around the local area lasting from 45-60 minutes and is suitable for all fitness levels.

The Youth Group will be making its in-person return on Friday 18th June after a two week break due to Falkirk High being closed. We are looking forward to having the group back and will be having a visit from Chloe from Scottish Youth Parliament for a wee chat before continuing our work with Falkirk – Community Learning & Development. This group meets weekly from 7pm-8.30pm.

On the note of Youth Group, we are excited to be able to offer a Summer Programme throughout July. We will be running fun sessions Thursday and Friday of every week from 11am-2pm. We are looking to engage with pupils transitioning from Primary School to High School for this group as well as our current members, more information on available activities coming very soon!

Another future ‘Save the Date’ our FVSC Talk and Sign Group will be taking an outing to Bo’ness Hippodrome on Saturday 26th June at 7.30pm for a showing of ‘The Sound of Metal’ with a BSL Q&A after! If anyone is interested in coming along to this event please contact Linsey.
