What’s on this week: 14th December-18th December.
Monday we have our History Group having a talk via zoom with Laura Harrison from Historic Environment Scotland from 10.30am-11.30am. Our Knit and Natter Group are having their last session of the year from 1.30pm-3pm in the cafe. And lastly but certainly not least we have our Talk and Sign Group via zoom from 7pm-8pm for some Christmas party games with some fabulous prizes!
Tuesday sees our next online Book Group meeting from 10am-11am. We are discussing the classic Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe before moving on to The Woman in the Woods by Lesley Pearse. The Craft group, a local peer led support group, will also be meeting in the cafe from 1.30pm-3pm for a socially distanced session.
Wednesday will see our cafe close at 12.30pm as the staff will be embarking upon some training, but never fear we shall be back on Thursday. Look out on our social media for our fun celebrations last week too!
Thursday we have our Music Quiz in collaboration with RNIB Scotlandand RNIB Connect – Scotland. The theme is all things Christmas! Come and test your knowledge 😉 This event will take place on Teams, phone in is available. Our next Bitesize fitness with David Black and The Scottish Centre for Personal Safety will also be live! This will be the last one of the year.
Friday is our next Green Cafe with Kirsty, she will be having a Christmas Quiz. She will also be sharing the different ways you can make recycled decorations and how to have a greener Christmas.
Also on Friday our last weekly news podcast of the year (we shall return in January), and the last The Braveheart Association Walk of the year will be leaving the Sensory Garden at 11.30am.
Lastly but certainly not least, please remember our Cafe is open to the public every weekday from 9am-4pm, come and get a lovely warming soup for £1 or try out one of our delectable cakes with a tea or coffee!
