Coming up this week at the Sensory Centre:
Our friends at The Braveheart Association are starting a new Strength and Balance session today on Zoom at 11am. This will be for four weeks, they are 15 minute sessions to get you warmed up and exercising. You don’t even have to turn on your camera if you don’t want to! Get in touch with Eva at eva.finlayson@nhs.scot for joining information.
Also today (Monday) we have our first ever Social Group on zoom at 3pm. This is an informal session that allows everyone to have a wee catch up and a blether. Phone in is available. Drop in and have a chat!
Our Talk and Sign BSL Practise is also on this evening at 7pm-8pm. This is open to anyone who would like to brush up on their BSL. This is not an official course, but if you would like to join us please get in touch.
Thursday will see the next episode of our Bitesize Fitness with David Black and the Scottish Centre for Personal Safety. David will take us through another gentle exercise to get you warmed up and your blood pumping. These exercises are for people of all ages and abilities.
Friday the weekly news podcast will be live for all your local news updates. We have taken over from Newsline at present to cover updates from the Falkirk Herald. If you would rather receive this in memory stick format please get in touch.
And perhaps most excitingly, on Friday we have our online Mad Hatters Tea Party! The afternoon tea costs £12 for pick up or £15 for delivery and includes a scrumptious selection of sandwiches, a selection of cakes, and some delicious nibbles. If you would like to join us please get in touch with Martin at martinallen@forthvalleysensorycentre.org. We have a total of 30 spaces for this, and they are filling up. Closing date is Tuesday 2nd of March so get your booking in quick if you’d like to join us!
As always if you would like to learn more about our groups and activities or you would like the invitation information for any of the above please get in touch with Linsey at linseystocks@forthvalleysensorycentre.org.
