Our Kiltwalkers were striding with pride this weekend completing the Edinburgh Kiltwalk. Luckily good weather prevailed and the team not only enjoyed a great stroll but also some good banter and raised some much needed funds for the Centre too.
This year, all donations are being topped up by The Hunter Foundation by up to 40 per cent so we don’t have a final total for the amount raised as yet but we’ll let you know as soon as we do!
Huge thanks to everyone who supported our “Sensory Strollers” though, your support means a lot to the Centre. Also, many congratulations to Alison, Caroline and Jacquie, plus their friends and family who all took part in the walk on our behalf.
Centre Manager Jacquie Winning commented;
“What an amazing day with our Kiltwalkers! It was fantastic to be swept along in such a positive crowd of people. The walk passed by much quicker than anticipated with some great conversation making the miles fall away.
“We are delighted to have raised a good deal of money for our charity too, all of which will go to helping people with sensory loss in Forth Valley live life as independently as possible. We don’t know the final total but it should be over £1000 and our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has donated to us.”
If you would like to support our Centre by taking part in an activitiy or donate in anyway, here is how you can get involved!
