Are you a Deaf person worried about electronic scams and hackers? Do you need a refresh on what to do to protect yourself online?

Lead Scotland are excited to host FREE webinars with up-to-date advice on how you can stay safe and secure on the internet. Their friendly and knowledgeable tutors will share their top tips in easy-to-understand language that is accessible to all.

Like us, Lead Scotland believe everyone should be confident in using the internet as the digital world offers lots of places to get help and support. Access to online shopping, finding out about local services or meeting friends and family online for a video chat using Teams or Zoom have all become important parts of our daily lives. However, we recognise that for some, stepping into the digital world can be a scary experience.

This is why we offer IT classes here at the Centre for those who are really new to the web. See all our groups and classes here. New members are always welcome.

The first round of 6 webinars will have British Sign Language interpreters and they’ll also be captions available through the Zoom platform.

Topics include:
• How to Use Passwords
• How to Protect Yourself Against Online Dangers
• How to Recognise Online Scams
• What to do if Something Goes Wrong Online
• Cyber Resilience Basics for Entrepreneurs
• How to Stay Safe on Social Media
