Deaf Disability Assistance Consultation

Deaf Scotland are working with The Scottish Government Social Security Policy Team on their Disability Assistance Consultation. They are hosting a focus group event at Forth Valley Sensory Centre on Wednesday 22 May 2019 from 2.30pm to 4:30pm for Deaf Disability Assistance.

The Scottish Government want to hear from people about whether the way that they are planning to provide Disability Assistance will meet their needs. This is your chance to have your say. BSL support will be provided on the day too.

The event is open to all deaf  – Deaf, Deafblind, Deafened and Hard of Hearing. You don’t have to be from the Forth Valley area. Deaf Scotland are keen to connect as many deaf people as possible who would benefit from Deaf Disability Assistance support from Social Security.

The date is fixed as The Scottish Government is closing the consultation on 28th May. You can read more about it on the Disability Assistance in Scotland website here. There is also an easy read version of the consultation as well as audio and a BSL video.
