We are delighted to announce a Countdown themed fundraising event supported by Falkirk football legend, Alex Totten on 4th April, 7pm-9pm.
Organised by our fundraising committee, this promises to be a fun and accessible night. Chair of the Forth Valley Sensory Centre board, former provost Pat Reid, will take on the role of Nick Hewer (or Richard ‘Twice Nightly’ Whiteley for the older readers) comparing the competition.
As this is in aid of Forth Valley Sensory Centre, the format will be accessible. Large print scrabble will be available as will braille letters. BSL interpretors will also be present.
Rounds will last slightly longer than the usual 30 seconds but will feature letters and numbers games, just like the real Countdown TV show.
Audience members are encouraged to try and beat our teams, one of which is to be captianed by former Falkirk and Alloa player and manager Alex Totten. Mind, no shouting out or boasting until after the scores are in though!
Tickets are just £5 per person and will feature a buffet at the table. The event is bring your own bottle so please drink responsibly at this family friendly event.
Chair of the Fundraising Group, Nan Hamilton said:
“A huge thanks to Falkirk FC and Alex for agreeing to take part. With his record we know he will be very competitive and really want to win! Pat Reid will keep things moving on what is sure to be a fun evening packed with laughs as well as some brain taxing puzzles! It’s all for a great cause though so do come along and support us!”
