Coming up at the Sensory Centre:
As mentioned last week, we will continue to be closed to the public, as soon as we are able to open safely we will let you know.
Never fear, we still have many things to offer online, with a selection of videos and online classes. This Tuesday we will have a new cookery lesson for you all, and on Thursday there will be the next bitesize fitness session with David Black and The Scottish Centre for Personal Safety.
Our talk with Bryan Mackie from Police Scotland on Covid Scams has been rescheduled for Monday 25th January from 10am-11am, this is open to all of our centre users. If you require an interpreter for this service please get in touch.
Our book group will return on the 19th January from 10am-11am, we will be discussing ‘The Woman in the Wood’ by Lesley Pearse before we move onto our next book ‘Corrag’ by Susan Fletcher. We are also keen for more book recommendations, so if you’d like to come along please get in touch! This is on zoom with phone in available.
The History Group is back on 20th January from 10.30am-11.30am with a talk from The National Trust for Scotland on The History of School Uniform. This will be on zoom with phone in available and an interpreter provided. Please get in touch if you’d like to join.
Our Knit and Natter group may not be able to meet at the moment due to the centre being closed, but we have a new project underway. We are looking to ‘Yarn Bomb’ the sensory garden! If you would like to knit or crochet squares to be added to this we are happily taking donations! This will be going live in the Spring!
If you are interested in any of our groups and classes or would like to learn more about them, please get in touch with Linsey at linseystocks@forthvalleysensorycentre.org.
