Falkirk Council is holding a BSL draft consultation event on Friday 31st May 2019 at Forth Valley Sensory Centre. Come along and have your say!
The event takes place 9am to 12:30pm and BSL interpreters as well as electronic note takers will be present. This is your chance to help shape the future of sign language in Falkirk.
The BSL National Plan was launched by Scottish Government in October 2017. All Local Authorities must also produce their own plan to improve services for BSL speakers.
Falkirk Council are interested in understanding the views of BSL speakers from a range of backgrounds, eg. deaf BSL speakers (incl. Deaf/Blind), their parents or families, views of interpreters, professionals or academics working with BSL and businesses that may recruit BSL speakers or train their staff to use BSL.

Please also note that subject toother local events, parking near Forth Valley Sensory Centre can be limited. Free parking is available in nearby Nailer Road or Brown Street. The Centre is also well served by public transport. Please factor parking into your journey time.
