Braveheart get walking from the Centre

For the outward bound the first Braveheart Association Walk is leaving the Centre on 28th February.

Meet outside the Centre for the walk to start at 1.30pm. The group will then be having refreshments in the Sensory Centre (tea/coffee and a scone).

Ian is leading the long walk which heads past Tamfourhill, up onto the canal, down to the Falkirk Wheel, back along the canal to Loch 16 then back to the Centre. Eva will lead a short walk to Loch 16, along the canal (in direction of Beefeater), through the Bowling Green and park then back up through the houses to the Centre.

The cost is just £3 and this is open to anyone over the age of 55 who fancies enjoying a stroll and a chat.

We are happy to arrange a BSL interpreter if needed and the Braveheart guides have all been trained in visual awareness and help.

There are a number of other supported walks around the area too. These are:

Mondays: 10am, Polmont Woods, 1 hour or a 30 minute option
Tuesdays: 10:30am, Forth Valley Royal Hospital, 1 hour, 45 minute or 30 minute options available
Wednesdays: 10:30am, Bonnybridge (Royal Hotel), 1 hour or a 30 minute option
Fridays: 10:30am, Stenhousemuir (Red Cross Charity Shop), 1 hour, 45 minute or 30 minute options available

More monthly walks will be added and we will keep you informed. It would be great to see Centre Users and friends along for these supported walks. Get fit, have fun!
