A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported our Afternoon Tea last week (14th April). We raised an amazing £500 for the Centre and an additional £80 for the Red Cross Ukraine Appeal!
The event started with chair dancing from Lauren Christie Dance which got everyone in the mood to party! Guests were then served fantastic food created by our Cafe Supervisor Carol with support from our staff. A raffle, including a restaurant voucher for the Abbotsinch in Grangemouth rounded off the day.
This was our first indoor event for several years thanks to Covid and although numbers were reduced just to be safe, the halls looked packed and there was plenty of good cheer to go around.
It was also good that members of our Knit and Natter Group were able to make delightful butterflies and hearts in yellow/blue to raise funds for the people of Ukraine. This latest donation took our overall fundraising to £150 so a big well done!
Fundraising is a really important part of the work of any charity and it was great to be able to welcome so many people back to one of our most popular events. Look out for announcements about future events too, especially our planned Summer Fayre and BBQ!
