Our first Halloween Party at the weekend was a real success with a packed hall, fun and games all in a great ‘spirit’. The Fundraising Group did themselves proud with a fantastic event raising £400 in the process!
A great spread was put on thanks to donations from the Fundraising Group members and Falkirk Food Bank who helped out with some tasty items too. Food was cooked and prepared by the Centre Cafe staff volunteering their extra time, while donations of decorations gave the room a fantastically spooky feeling.
Games were played throughout the evening with the Mummy game, wrapping up a fellow guest in loo roll, being a real scream. Other games included the traditional ‘dooking for apples’ and eating doughnuts from a string along with zombie walking!
The event also brought together Centre Users with both hearing and visual conditions and a BSL interpreter made sure that everyone could join in the fun.
As well as the Halloween celebrations there was also time to sing a happy birthday to Michael who attends our carers group with a fantastic cake organised by his wife Betty. Congratulations Michael!
This was the second event thought out by our Fundraising Group which is actively looking for more members.
