We were deligthed to welcome Alison Harris MSP to the Centre today to meet Centre Users and talk about ways to promote the concerns of sensory impaired people.
This was a very positive meeting, which included some open and frank conversations about the way parliament works and the needs of the deaf, hard of hearing, blind and partially sighted communities.
Centre Manager Jacquie Winning commented:
“It was a pleasure to welcome Alison to our CEntre today and I want to thank all our Centre Users who came along to make her feel welcome.
“I felt it was a very good meeting which focused on the unique status of our Centre and the excellent work we have done over the last 11 years and we continue to do today.
“I look forward to continuing to work with Alison to promote the needs of sensory impaired people across Forth Valley.”
Following an hour long discussion with Centre Users, Alison was given a tour of the Centre by Christine Moroney and has promised to work hard promoting the Centre in the Scottish Parliament.
