Winter Fayre at the Sensory Centre

Winter Fayre means Songs, Santa and Surprises on 3rd December!

Forth Valley Sensory Centre is to hold the annual Winter Fayre on 3rd December this year and for the first time ever, will be supporting the wider Camelon Winter Festival which takes place on the same day.

From midday to 4pm, the event will see the Sensory Garden re-open for visitors with a special red suited guest hopefully making an appearance for the children. The Winter Fayre will be family focused and include activities both within the garden and the Centre proper.

A number of festive stalls will be on hand for gift ideas and there will be lots of games and activities for young and old alike, including children’s activities, a raffle and tombola.

Lynne Frail, Fundraising Co-ordinator said:

“The Winter Fayre is a staple on the Centre’s calendar but this year it promises to be bigger and better than ever. By linking with the Camelon Community Trust we are providing a great place for local people to come and explore and really start to feel festive.

“There will be festive food on as well as all our usual stalls and games but the key thing is the opening of the garden with our festive guest. It will be great to see people back in, using the space as it is meant, to bring the community together at a lovely time of year.”

Entry to the Winter Fayre is £2.50 but includes a free tea or coffee and a mince pie. There is a £1.50 donation for children to see Santa, which will include a gift, but entry to the garden itself will be free.

It is also hoped that the Sensory Garden will remain lit and open throughout the festive period so local people can come and enjoy the space.
