This week we have a brand new welcome desk competition; name our Tin lady! Our Tin man was named Douglas by the centre three years ago and now the Tin Lady would like a name too! All you need to do is suggest a name then write your name and a contact number on our sheet, and be in with a chance to win a bee-utiful themed prize! We will pick a winning name at our Summer Fayre on 20th July.
Unfortunately on Monday our Choir has been cancelled as Aimee is unwell. We will reconvene on 11th July from 10.30am-12pm when we will be practicing for our performance at Klondyke Garden Centre on Saturday 16th July from 12pm-2pm. This group costs £5 and meets fortnightly.
Our Knit and Natter group will still be going ahead on Monday, this group meets from 1pm-3pm. This group is open to all ages and abilities (or even those that would rather just have a natter!) No group cost, but refreshments can be purchased from the cafe.
Monday Voices Off class happens this evening from 6.30-7.30pm. This is a weekly, conversational British Sign Language class that is open to anyone who would like to learn some basic BSL. Please contact Allan for more information on spaces at allan.simpson@falkirk.gov.uk.
The IT classes are unfortunately cancelled for this week due to illness. The IT classes will return w/c 22nd August.
The BSL OAP Group will be meeting for their usual session on Wednesday between 12.30pm and 2.30pm.
The FVSC led ‘Voices Off’ Cafe for learning and practicing basic BSL is back on Thursday from 11am-12.30pm. This is led by volunteers and supported by FVSC staff, the group meets fortnightly and is always open to new participants.
Also on Thursday the Macular Society is back from 1pm-3pm. This group meets on the last the last Thursday of the month. If you are interested in learning more about this group please contact Iona on 07517543998.
On Friday the Braveheart Group will be leaving from the Sensory Garden at 11.30am for their usual leisurely walk around the local area. This lasts from approximately 45-60 minutes with the opportunity to come and enjoy our delightful café afterwards. All welcome.
And lastly but certainly not least, the Deaf Club will be back for their session from 7pm-10pm.
