Please note we will be closed on Monday for the public holiday. We will be back bright and early on Tuesday Morning for all your café, group and sensory room needs!
On Tuesday our Book Group will be back from 10am-11am, this is a hybrid group with the option to come into the centre or join us via zoom. This month we will be reviewing ‘The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society’ by Annie Barrows and Mary Ann Shaffer, look out for the group’s thoughts later in the week! This group meets on the third Tuesday of the month, we primarily source our books from RNIB talking books.
The IT classes are back this week on Tuesday at 1pm-3pm and 3pm-5pm, Thursday 1pm-3pm, and Friday 1pm-3pm. There are still spaces on our Tuesday and Friday classes, so if you are interested in learning more about IT, including accessibility around tablets and phones, please get in touch we still have spaces in our Tuesday and Friday classes. Classes cost £5.
The BSL OAP Group will be meeting for their usual session on Wednesday between 12.30pm and 2.30pm.
The Braille Group will also return from holiday this week on Thursday from 10am-12pm. This is a college led class. If you are interested in learning more about learning to read and write braille please contact us on the information below.
On Friday our Youth Group will be back for their weekly evening sessions from 6pm-7.15pm. We will be doing more cookery with David Black! This group is open to p7-S6 pupils with sensory loss and their siblings/friends. Get in touch for more information.
The Deaf Club will be back to their usual slot from 7pm-10pm on Friday too!
A reminder that our Sensory Room is now open for limited spaces each day. Cost is £5 for 1 hour, regardless of geographical area. Contact Rowan for more information by emailing rowanferguson@forthvalleysensorycentre.org or by phoning 01324 590888.
We also have boxes of lateral flow tests here at the centre for pick up, these have been provided to us by the NHS and a free to anyone who would like them.
