Police Scotland wants to know and understand the views of Scotland’s diverse communities. Your Police 2021-22 is now live on our Engagement Hub (Citizen Space) in both standard and British Sign Language (BSL) versions. Police Scotland is inviting anyone living in Scotland to take part and the survey is open all year. It asks about your experiences of feeling safe in your community and what you think about the police.

The survey also aims to help Police Scotland understand more about your experiences of interacting with your police service.

For the information of any young people who are interested there are 150 Young Scot Rewards points on offer for taking part (more details at the end of the survey after a response is submitted).

Police Scotland’s Engagement Hub is hosted on Citizen Space by Delib and meets AAA accessibility standards. If you have any questions or require to complete the survey in another way, please contact: consultations@scotland.pnn.police.uk

How we used our Your Police BSL survey in 2020-21

To give more context, Police Scotland received 278 responses to the British Sign Language version of Your Police 2020-21 (last year’s survey). We are delighted with this response from Scotland’s BSL communities and we are already acting on what respondents have told us. Last year we used insight from the BSL version of Your Police to shape our input to local policing briefings so that Police Officers, Staff and Special Constables were able to adapt and respond to people’s needs in inclusive ways. We are also developing ways to integrate more BSL options when interacting with Police Scotland. Our Public Confidence Governance Board are ways which we can make our progressive approach part of our ‘business as usual’ for interacting with Scotland’s diverse communities.
