Lip Reading and Tinnitus Groups

Our Lip-reading class with Jill Bradshaw has now returned, Friday morning 10.30am-12pm on Zoom. If you would like to learn more about lip-reading and would be interested in joining a taster session or would like to join our waiting list get in touch with Linsey.

Lip reading is really useful for people who have lost their hearing through age or illness.

Hearing loss can be very isolating and people struggling to manage their condition can easily lose their confidence, wondering if it is just them that has a problem, not going out or not being able to explain to people that they cannot hear properly.

Hearing Loss Jigsaw looking at some of the issues around hearing loss that lip reading might solve.

We are also looking to start a new Tinnitus Support Group. This group will cover hints and tips to manage the condition. If you suffer from tinnitus (typically a ringing or whooshing noise in the ear when there are no other sounds) and would like to join the group please get in touch. We are currently asking interested parties what days and time would suit them best. The first meeting of our new Tinnitus Group (date TBC) will feature a speaker from NHS Audiology.

If you are interested in any of our groups and activities, or would like to make any suggestions for topics you’d like us to cover, please get in touch with Linsey at linseystocks@forthvalleysensorycentre.org.
