Martial Arts Style Fitness Class

After a successful two week trial, we are going to be starting an 8 week Martial Arts Style Fitness Class! The class will take place on Thursday evenings from 5.10pm-6.10pm from 29th August until 17th October.

This class is accessible to everyone, whether you have a sensory loss or not, our doors are open to all. There is also no requirement for you to know any form of martial arts, the class is not determined by skill level or endurance. All moves will be taught by our qualified instructor David Black, who has created a fitness class using his martial arts knowledge. These moves will be taught through disguised repetition which is used for visually impaired people to follow through moves safely, but also ensures that no one will be injured in this fitness class.

The workout includes crosses and jabs (using gloves and pads, there is no training to fight in these classes), as well as defensive manoeuvres, squats, burpees, and much more. The classes follow an 8 week programme that looks both to enhance your fitness level as well as introduce you to some martial arts style moves.

We hope to see you there!
