Mental Health and Deafness

DeafScotland recently launched their ‘Connect Us Too’ mental health resources for deaf people at Deaf Links / Tayside Deaf Hub, Dundee.

The launch day was beautiful and was well attended with over 70 people coming along.

For those who didn’t attend the launch, you missed a fantastic event, where some DeafScotland employees found it ‘very strong and impactful’ and ‘thoroughly enjoyable’. There was even a delicious tasty feast laid out by the wonderful volunteers at Tayside Deaf Hub.

Four film clips were produced and you can watch all to the videos below. Being Deaf, whether that is profound deafness or age releated hearing loss can mean it is harder to talk about mental health issues as communities are very close.

DeafScotland is reminding all deaf people that it is ok not to be ok.
