Fundraisers and Volunteers at the Centre were thanked with an afternoon tea this week in a special, celebration event attended by dignitaries from Clackmannanshire, Falkirk and Stirling.
The event brought together two of the mainstays of our Centre, those who have raised or donated money to fun our groups and classes, as well as those who generously give their time to gareden, paint, coordinate activites or drive our bus.
Certificates of appreciation were given out and our volunteers took a day off with pupils from St Mungos in Falkirk and Falkirk High stepping in to ensure everyone’s cups were topped up with tea.
Centre Manager Jacquie Winning said:
“We wanted to do something really special to say thank you to all those people who help us provide such a great service tio the sensory impaired community across Forth Valley.
“We have had some great help from local businesses who were well represented at the event and we were more than happy to let our dignatries know who had dug deep for us.
“It is also worth noting how many volunteers are also fundraisers and vice versa. People interact with the Centre for many reasons but we make an impression on all of them and it is fantastic to see people willing to give their time and effort to help others.”
