Happy New Year everyone! Apologies for the lack of longer what’s on for last week, our Group Coordinator had just returned from annual leave on Monday 9th. We have another busy week ahead of us this week, with more groups returning after our short winter break.
On Monday we have a few of our groups returning, with the first being our Choir from 10.30am-12pm. This group is open to all, and is lead by Aimee Toshney. The group enjoys a variety of different songs, and though we have no perfomances lined up at the moment, this group is a great way to warm up the vocal chords and have a jolly singalong! Session costs £5.
The lip-reading peer support group will also be back on Monday, from 11am-12pm. This group is for people who would like to practice their lip-reading in a quiet social environment.
Our Knit and Natter group also returns on Monday from 1pm-3pm. This group love a blether just as much as they love knitting! Suitable for beginners as well as experts, we have volunteers who can assist with knitting and crochet as well. An interpreter is available for these sessions.
The Lip-reading class will be back this evening after unfortunately having to cancel last week. These sessions are led by lip-reading Tutor Jill Bradshaw and are weekly from 4pm-6pm.
