Our Sensory Garden was vandalised on Sunday 2nd October. A lot of damage was caused to the fountain and also a number of holders for hanging baskets were ripped from the fencing.
However, at a dark moment it was great to see so much support in the community. Social media was wild with lots of people expressing concern and offering to fix the damage.
70,000 people saw our post and a number of MPs and MSPs commented about the damage on Twitter. As a result, a Crowdfunding page has been set up to raise £1500 for the Garden and repair some of the damage.
The level of engagement and support from the community has made a huge difference at this time and we are confident we will now have something that was even better than before. A heartfelt thanks to everyone who has shared or commented on the story this week and the media with coverage on the BBC and the story also appeared on STV as well as many other sites.

Four children traced for Sensory Garden vandalism
Police in Forth Valley investigating the vandalism of a Sensory Garden in Camelon, have traced and charged four children in connection with the incident.
The children, aged between 7 and 11 will be referred to the Children’s Reporter.
Officers wish to thank the local community for their assistance and support in this inquiry.
A spokesperson for the Centre said:
