The Alliance are hosting their ‘Menopause Myth busting Q&A’ event on Monday 06 December 2021 at 10.30am-11.30am.
This is the first of three sessions on menopause hosted by The Alliance with the Scottish Government’s Women Health Plan team. BSL support will be provided for the Deaf community too.
We know the menopause affects some individuals severely and some do not like to talk about it. However, we know the menopause can have a big effect on mental health and wellbeing, which is quite concerning. This session has been designed to be inclusive to the Deaf and hard of hearing community.
In this session participants will be encouraged to contribute suggestions to how to shape further sessions and conversations, especially with accessibility. It would be good to get views from individuals who have sensory loss, including those with deafness and hearing loss on how to make Menopause resources more accessible and inclusive. Do you know anyone? If so, please do forward the link on to them.
