Our Book Group enjoyed their monthly meet up session on Tuesday this week.
We had a discussion about ‘The Last Letter from Juliet’ by Melanie Hudson. Though many of the group didn’t particularly enjoy the book, enjoying the historical element more than the romance, they found it to be easy reading. They did pick up on mistakes through the book, found that the language was often superfluous and was a bit farfetched.
Most of the group listened to the book and found that the parallel stories were a bit confusing as there was no difference in the narration.
Book Rating: 5
Narrator: 6
For our December meeting we are reading ‘The Midnight Library’ by Matt Haig. We source our books from RNIB talking books, but if you’d rather read than listen you can get a copy from your local library. New members are always welcome!
Next group is on 21st December 2021, we will be bringing along Christmas Treats and having tea/coffee from the cafe as a treat! We do meet in a hybrid format so if you’d rather join us on zoom this option is available.
