Open Meeting Thanks

The Centre would like to thank everyone who came along to our Open Meeting on 15th September.

Those present enjoyed some delicious homebaking courtesy of our Cafe Manager, Sara and were treated to some very informative talks from Layla Theiner from Disability Agenda Scotland who sparked some lively debate about the needs of sensory impaired people in modern society, and Jill Bradshaw, Lipreading Tutor who had the audience doubled up with some of her stories.

We would also like to thank John McNally MP for coming along to the event.

The final event of the Open Meeting was for Maxine Michie, Board Treasurer to provide an update on the latest accounts. This was positively recieved although the message that the Centre needs to continue to engage with new revenue streams and funding is very clear.

Jacquie Winning, Centre Manager said:

“It was great to have so many people come along to what was a very positive meeting which gives us a lot of confidence that we have some wonderful plans in place for 2017 and onwards.”

If you were not able to make the meeting or would like to contact us about any of the issues raised, please do so.
