What’s on w/c 7th June

megaphone, smartphone, lightbulb and magnifier to cover different media

On Monday we will have our online Social group at 3pm on Zoom, we will be having a ‘visit’ from Bryan Mackie from Police Scotland, he will be giving a talk on Doorstep Crime and other scams to be mindful of. Phone in is also available for this group.

Monday also brings us our next Talk and Sign Social group at 7pm on Zoom. We will be making geometric coasters, with guidance from our art tutor Val Martin (video on the talk and sign page). Our Talk and Sign group is open to all with hearing loss, this is a fun social group that likes to try out many different things.

Wednesday our History Group will be back on Zoom for a session with Titanic Honour and Glory who will be giving a talk on Titanic at 11am. Phone in is available for this group, and an interpreter provided.

Our Art group will be meeting for a socially distanced session, this group is currently limited due to restrictions, however if anyone would like to join the waiting list for when we can invite more people in please get in touch. This group meets at 1.15pm-3.15pm, led by our art tutor Val Martin, and costs £5.

On Friday The Braveheart Association will be leaving from the centre for their weekly walk from the Sensory Garden at 11.30am. This is a leisurely walk around the local area that lasts 45-60 minutes. This group is open to all.

Please note that due to Falkirk High being on remote learning this week due to a rise in cases, we will not be running the Youth Group this week. We will be back on the 18th June.

As always if you’d like to join any of our groups or would like more information please contact Linsey at linseystocks@forthvalleysensorycentre.org
