Forth Valley Sensory Centre
Forth Valley Sensory Centre is ‘YOUR Centre’.
We aim to deliver the best service possible. From our work with community groups across the area to our Centre Users Group which advises the main board on the needs of the people who make the most of our services. We also have a Fundraising Committee, which includes people with all kinds of sensory conditions in order to make sure we raise funds in a way that is sustainable and delivers real benefits for those who need it most.
As a result, our Centre Users are at the heart of all we do. They help us manage the Centre and they guide us on what the key needs are for everyone who uses our services or joins our groups. Check our What’s On pages to find out about the latest evetns, groups and activities.
In this section you can read more about what the Centre means to those who use it and meet some of our staff and volunteers.
Cafe Tiki is the heart of your Centre. Open to the public, it stocks a range of fresh hot and cold food as well as fair trade organic and rainforest friendly coffee. It brings together people with visual impairments, hearing loss and the wider public so feel free to drop in for a cuppa and a cake!
There are also a number of videos to view. Our cook David takes you behind the scenes into his kitchen with his delicious recipes and board member Terry Robinson shows off some of the latest technology to assisst blind and partially sighted people
