Forth Valley Sensory Centre
Our latest newsletter, the Summer 2018 edition is available to download now for the newsletter section of our website.
It’s packed with news and features, including an update on our Cafe and the new wheelchair accessible bench and those all important diary dates:
- 19th July Afternoon Tea and Bake Off, 1pm-3pm cost just £8
- 5th August, 1pm-4pm, Malvina’s Garden open day. Last chance to see as Malvina is unwell. All proceeds to the Centre
- 16th September, Edinburgh Kiltwalk, sign up now and make the a sensory walk!
- 27th September, Provost Buchanan brings his World War Singalong to the Sensory Centre. 2pm-4pm tickets £5
There is also a lot of news on our groups and classes including the last dates for the summer and the return dates. Lots of classes finish for July with holidays making sure that attendances are lower. However, some groups, like knit and natter are continuing so check before you travel!
We still have plenty going on though, even with the holiday season. Despite the ongoing works our garden is looking great and the Cafe are turning out some wonderful summer treats! We have had strawberry and mixed fruit tarts with fresh cream and our ‘fully loaded’ salads have been immensely popular.
Thanks to Mitie we now have a wheelchair accessible picnic table right outside the Cafe door so that everyone can enjoy our food in the summer sun and don’t forget, our sensory garden, although not completed, is once again open to the public.
